Zirconia (ZrO2) crucibles are great refractory and insulating materials. They have a clean melt at temperatures above 1900°C and above and are specially manufacturered for melting superalloys and precious metals. They also have excellent chemical inertness, superior thermal shock resistance to temperatures reaching up to 2200°C, and good corrosion resistance to acids and alkalis.

I have used this now for at least 20 smelting at over 1200 Celsius and the crucible is still going.
Pre heat it at 200C for 1 hr to drive off any moisture prior to first use.
Quality is very good in my opinion.
