Zirconia Crucible Description

Zirconia (ZrO2) crucibles are great refractory and insulating materials. They have a clean melt at temperatures above 1900°C and above and are specially manufacturered for melting superalloys and precious metals. They also have excellent chemical inertness, superior thermal shock resistance to temperatures reaching up to 2200°C, and good corrosion resistance to acids and alkalis.

Zirconia Crucible Applications

Zirconia (ZrO2) is extremely refractory materials. It has excellent chemical inertness, superior thermal shock resistance to temperatures reaching up to 2200℃, and good corrosion resistant to acids and alkalis. So high purity Zirconia crucibles are widely used in:
-Chemical calcining
-Metal casting
-Metal melting, specially in super alloy and precious metals industries
-Thermal analysis crucibles

Quality is very good in my opinion

I have used this now for at least 20 smelting at over 1200 Celsius and the crucible is still going.

Pre heat it at 200C for 1 hr to drive off any moisture prior to first use.

Quality is very good in my opinion.
